HI. I'M MEGHAN.

I was born and raised in rural-town WI and have always been active. As a little girl I loved playing in the woods behind our house. As I got older I danced, played softball, ran track and cross country, and rowed crew.

These days when I am not in the clinic or researching the best evidence-based practice to offer my patients, you can find me doing yoga, running, biking, hiking, camping, and spending time with my husband, our little boy, and our dog.

GETTING HERE

"Your story is what you have. It is what you will always have."
- Michelle Obama

I never planned on becoming a

Doctor of Physical Therapy.

But plans change.

When I was 21 years old I suffered a burst brain aneurysm - an aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage to be exact - with less than a 10% survival rate. That did not include how I would live after the slim chance of surviving.

Physical therapy helped me to regain my balance, walk again, visually focus on an object, write legibly, and more. It was a long, often times daunting road to recovery. Yet it made me realize I had to help others the way I had been helped.

I understand what it is like when you get injured and your life gets disrupted. Whether you hurt your shoulder from a fall, hurt your knee while running, suffered a stroke, or notice that your balance isn't quite like it used to be, I can help you get back to you.

Introduction: About My Project
Yoga Session

As a certified yoga instructor, I value treating the whole person. I help my patients tune in to themselves through breath work and progressive stretching. I combine this with physical therapy treatment such as strengthening weakened muscles or improving range of motion, as well as applying my anatomical knowledge of the musculoskeletal system.

It is through this holistic approach that I help my patients reduce their pain, become their own personal cheerleader, and return them to leading a full life.

Introduction: About My Project

I am a physical therapist who is committed to the overall well-being of my patients, who values integrity and is passionate about caring for others. As a leader in the doctoring profession of physical therapy I strive for more by using evidence-based practice for my patients while advocating for the health and wellness among all people.
